With the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no denying that Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) has become a vital part of how people communicate across language barriers. While there is hope that much of life will return to the way it was before the pandemic, it is clear that many of the changes are here to stay, including the need for interpreters to develop their ability to effectively perform in these remote modalities.
Join Evelyn Cervantes on June 16 to learn how to adapt to and succeed in remote interpreting, including what you need to know about:
- Pros and Cons of remote interpreting
- Some of the challenges faced when working remotely
- Equipment requirements – hardware and connection
- Multilingual web conferencing platforms including Zoom and others
